7+5 weeks with twins and tested positive for the Corona Virus. I haven’t yet had a booster as I worried that it would interfere with the development of the smaller twin.
Anyone have experience at this stage of the pregnancy? Did Covid-19 affect the development of your babies.. and which meds can I take?
Thank you xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Are you under a midwife yet? If not I would ask your clinic for advice. If you have symptoms keep well hydrated and paracetamol is safe in pregnancy. Wishing you a speedy recovery x
Oh Bozo what a roller coaster sweetie 💗 am so sorry it’s one thing after another. It’s like everything wants to steal the joy right? Whoever thought a bfp was the end of the journey was so wrong 😑 we are still on that windy road.
Am thinking of you lovely and praying things will get better 💕 stay rested and hydrated xx
I cannot make it up… jeez, it is almost a comedy. Yes the journey after the bfp seems so much more tricky than before. Just hoping there are no issues with the development of babies… sadly I will now have to postpone my scan. But all in alll, I am still lucky to have gotten this far and the silver lining is that the spotting seems to have stopped 😅 thank you for leaving a message… I feel strengthened 💝
Hello Bozo - no advice again I'm afraid, but wishing you a speedy recovery. You've come such a long way already, so I completely understand your concern. If you've not yet seen a midwife, ask your gp for the phone number. In my area, the midwife was happy to talk to me, even though I was too early for the first booking appointment. Get plenty of rest. How rubbish that you'll be in quarantine over Christmas?!
Thank you GiantPanda, I will definitely speak with the midwife. Good job I had my booking in appointment yesterday morning 😅 yes .. Christmas plans are cancelled so it looks like a quiet time at home. I will also still be in quarantine go my birthday and my partner’s birthday 🙄. Oh well.. maybe I will save a few bucks ha ha
I was waiting to see some positive news from your next ultrasound but not this kind of positive! Don’t stress. Nothing you can do now. Stay hydrated and follow doctors recommendations. Wishing you and your babies quick recovery!
Lol yes the wrong kind of positive hey. Thank you very much. Yes I am resigned to it now.. all I can do it accept and hope they are still there and growing. I can’t tell pregnancy symptoms from Covid symptoms … headache, nausea, tiredness… What will be will be.. and no news is good news 🤞🏽
I'm 5 + 4 at the moment I had covid during the tww and got a positive on otd. So it's clearly had no impact on that so I'm sure you're babies developing either xx
Congratulations on your BFP! The wait must’ve been quite stressful and I am glad it worked out for you! Your message is very reassuring.. so thanks for taking the time to respond. The midwife keeps saying that they are not too concerned for the babbas.. it’s mom they are concerned about.. still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy being referred to as ‘ the mom’ 😊
I had Covid around the same time in my pregnancy. I also had to postpone my scan as a result and just before my positive covid test I’d had a bleed so at that point I didn’t even know if I was still pregnant! I had all the symptoms such as morning sickness and fatigue but like you didn’t know if it was just the covid! At that point I had only had one jab too. The good news is I’m 29 weeks now and all is fine so far with the baby and it’s developing well so it seems getting covid early on like that thankfully hasn’t affected it. The midwife and consultant also know I’d had it and were not concerned. Hope that offers you a bit of reassurance!
Oh Loopy! I am so glad things worked out well for you and thank you so much for posting your story. .. it helps to calm my fears a lot. I know that every pregnancy is different but at least I know that a good outcome is possible. Your story as made me feel much better. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you a stress free pregnancy further. 💕
Amazing amazing news about your ultrasound. Please please do take at least 2 or 3 days just to enjoy the good news! This is such a stressful journey.. we must make time to enjoy each of our milestones as well. There will be enough days left in which to stress!!! I am so pleased for you 💃🏼💃🏼
Sadly I am still testing positive so won’t be able to go to my scan tomorrow.. oh well.. onwards and upwards
Congratulations 🥳 and poor you. If it helps to reassure all I’ve read is that covid is worse for pregnancy during the 3rd trimester so hopefully you’re clear of that. And you also have your original vaccination antibodies so they will hopefully be working for you all! X
