Hi Anisha. Doctors always give you the woest scenario, so you can't blame them if things don't go to plan. I would think that your rate should be hugher, so keep yourfingers crossed tightly. The waiting doesn't help, but just try and keep busy when you can. Diane
Hi. I didn’t PGS test but did a double transfer that failed and a second double transfer where both implanted. I had just turned 40. Good chance of you getting a ‘normal’ embryo. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x
Hello, my story might give you hope. 2 natural pregnancy miscariages due to chromosomal abnormalities. Low ahm too - very low probably would be more accurate statement. 3 ivf rounds with pgs testing to avoid more miscariages. 3 5 day blasts altogether (just like you :)) 2 tested euploid, the 3rd one does not have result (so still a chance it is euploid too). I was told things like 30% that we will walk away with a baby. Or that we will be lucky to have one embryo testing normal. I don’t have our baby in my arms yet. But so far it has not been as grim as the statistics predicted. Oh, I was 39 when doing ivf rounds. Sending lots of baby dust!
Hi Anisha, I did PGT-A testing for both of my egg collection rounds at 40. The first round I had 5 blasts - 2 came back normal, the second round I had 2 blasts - 1 came back normal, so it was definitely more than 32% I was very worried during the second round but it turned out to be ok.
Hi Anisha, my situation at the moment is very similar to yours, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I'm turning 40 in a few months, in my 3rd ivf cycle I had 8 fertilised eggs, 3 embryos made it to blastocyst stage, they have been PGT-A tested and frozen - awaiting results now (I should have them some time in January). I was told that each embryo has a 25%-30% chance to come back as normal. Fingers crossed!
Hi I’ve just had my last three embryos tested and one has come back normal. We are going to do a test cycle with biopsy ( hopefully normal) and then do the cycle again to put embryo in at the most receptive time. My consultant thinks that pgs combined with implantation testing is likely to give the best chance. May be worth asking your consultant about this too.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I've got my fingers crossed for all of you. I'm hoping at least one of my embryos will come back normal. I'm not ready to give up hope on having a child that is biologically mine.
There is another thread on this portal about not having PGS testing. Some science claims abnormalities correct themselves once implanted. If anyone is interested, I can send links to the articles.
