IVF in Greece with OE: Hello ladies, I... - Fertility Network UK
IVF in Greece with OE
Hi, I'll give the the pros and cons from my experience in Greece:
Pros
Excellent service with dedicated contact who always gets back to you.
Individual treatment on your own results and situation.
More as standard: ICSI was included, embryo glue and medication included prednisolone just in case you have NK cells and others.
Cost is much cheaper even after scans at home and hotel accommodation.
Cons
If things go wrong you are on your own away from home (unless you have a partner who comes with you). I had internal bleeding from the egg collection and was very ill. The clinic were great, but it was scary. Also I lost my wallet with everything in it. The clinic lent me €200 though which was really good of them.
It's hard to juggle time off work. My periods are like clockwork, but I still couldn't book flights until the last minute.
I didn't always know what was going on. I went in on day 2 and didn't realise I was going in for transfer, I thought it was just a checkup.
I hope that helps. I definitely had a better experience in Greece and would recommend the clinic which was recommended to me. They insisted on a hysteroscopy because of my failed transfers and that uncovered a subseptate uterus, which they fixed.
Any questions just ask.
Good luck
