Hi all - it was touch and go but we made it to transfer on Thursday (woohoo 🥳🥳!!!) But I'm now stressing myself that I was tooo active on the day itself post transfer.
I took the stairs down from the transfer room rather than the lift, the tube to acupuncture right away (but had to lean against a wall as no seats) then went for a long wander through the park post acupuncture. And now I'm wracked with guilt because I was quite tired afterwards and just generally a bit crampy. I felt great at the time though and loved being in nature! Any success stories of being active on transfer day would be really helpful just to calm me down. I know, rationally, it's not going to have any effect, but I just want to be back in my zen TWW mode and this isn't helping haha. Thanks in advance 💕 🙏 xx

It’s so hard not to worry but after my transfer I went to work, and then to dinner with my husband and my embryo is now 29 weeks. Many clinics including mine say bed rest doesn’t help xx
Hello! I’m currently 5 days post transfer and ive had to walk the dog 4 of those! I’ve just tried to take it easy and make sure I’m not pushing myself too much (but I’ve also worried about it!). My doc says that if you’re active anyways (i.e. i always walk the dog) then shouldn’t be a problem to continue that as long as you’re not doing strenuous exercise x
Hi Hoop. Whether with embryo transfer or natural conception, your little embryo will still be inside you, hopefully continuing to multiply and implant. We can't wrap ourselves in cotton wool. I have ladies getting on a long haul flight a couple of hours or so post transfer and have success. Keep up with any prescribed medication, a little exercise and eat a sensible diet - just look after you! Good luck! Diane
First transfer I didn't do much different, then that ended before 6 weeks so I was more strict on the second one including resting more in case that helped, but that also ended the same way. So they both implanted fine, but for other reasons (progesterone probably) didn't last and the rest/no rest didn't make any difference. Third one I didn't change a thing - was working right up until going in for transfer on email and calls, and after, walked the dog (a very active and strong puppy!) and in the days and weeks after I was exercising normally, and doing long hours at work. I was just told not to strain my stomach - i.e., lift weights - and if not already doing the iron man challenge, it wasn't a good time to start I wouldn't think any more about it - getting out in nature is great for your physical and mental health so you've probably helped by doing that more than anything x
Thank you everyone 😊 These messages are all so helpful and have helped me feel far less stressed about it all. It's such a minefield isn't it! Particularly the lack of control over the whole process. But sometimes it's also helpful just to type out the worry, so thanks again. On that note, I'm going to go out for another walk 💕 x
