Very high numbers of immature eggs - IVF 3 cycles. Help!

I’m at my wits end! I have an AMH of 20 and I’m 36. Our first round I had 15 eggs collected, only 5 mature. All 5 fertilised but none made it to day 5. Second round they didn’t change anything in my protocol (NHS funded) - retrieved 11 eggs - only 2 mature. We insisted on a day 3 transfer of both and we were lucky enough to have our baby girl. Self funded cycle now a few years on, had a consult with a professor who said our previous cycles hadn’t gone very well so need to do something different. He said higher dose of menopur, double trigger and aim for freeze all in order to push me as far as they could. Had reservations going with NHS hospital but given that they gave us our daughter, we went back. I thought being self funded we would have had more contact with the doctor and be involved in any decision making. No one knew about plan for freeze all or double trigger. I had to ask them to read my notes countless times. Triggered earlier than previous 2 cycles. Wasn’t given access to the doctor to discuss the decision to trigger early and the professor who I spoke to originally had nothing to do with the decisions made. 18 eggs collected and only 3 mature. Worst percentage yet! I’m frustrated as I feel as if I’ve had 3 cycles, with no changes and the outcome is essentially then same which is unsurprising! Anyone had success with immature eggs and a change of protocol? Long instead of short? Different trigger? Larger follicles at trigger? Xx

I had the same issue - over 60% immature eggs on short protocol.

I changed doctor who suggested long protocol with growth hormone (basically, no cetrotide as it inhibits maturity). With this new protocol, I got 100% mature eggs.

I would change your protocol and your clinic x
