Just wanted to ask what is the situation with having a cold and it effecting implantation.?
Things was looking so positive until my baby boy passed me a cold from nursery. I would say it’s just starting to come out and I’m due to have embryo transfer on Tuesday.
Will me being ill effect my embryo getting comfy.
Slightly worried 😦
Thanks all xxx

A cold is unlikely to affect things negatively but do get a COVID test (if you haven't already) as initial presenting signs for COVID are more cold-like with delta and your clinic will want to know if you have COVID. I had a stinking cold start the evening of my transfer and I was so worried it would stop it working, but got my first and only positive and have seen a number of others says the same, so don't worry about having a cold xx
Hi Faith, when we did the fresh transfer that gave us our son I caught the most awful cough and cold you could imagine, possibly even covid. This was in Nov 2019 so covid was only starting out really. We were so worried because I coughed so much my belly was contracting with each cough and still he stuck and turned into our beautiful rainbow baby.Hope you feel better soon and good luck with your transfer x
Got a bad cold shortly after transfer. My hopes were very low, but read that the immune system is down, to allow implantation. I now have a 2 year old Good luck!
I also had a hideous cold at the time of my last transfer. I was so furious with my partner who’d given it to me 😂 I was so ill I was worried they’d cancel my transfer but the nurse said as long as you haven’t got a fever they’re not bothered because it won’t effect anything. We got our bfp that round though so try to relax and good luck! Xx
