Has anyone done 4 day3 embryo transfer? What was it like?

4 day3 embryo transfer
I'm not sure what you mean by 4 Day 3 embryo transfer. Can you clarify? I've done a Day 3 embryo transfer so hopefully may be able to help
I mean 4 embryos were transferred..
I don't think they are allowed to transfer more than 3 embryos, at least not in the UK. I was told by the embryologist that they could transfer 3 of the 4 embryos that I had following egg collection in special cases. I was classed as a special case as I am over 40 and this was my 4th stimulation cycle and I had previously had 1 cycle which produced no embryos to transfer, 1 cycle where two were transferred but BFN and 1 cycle where 1 was transferred but BFN. All were fresh transfers and I never had anything good enough quality to freeze. I think they are always worried about multiple births. If you have a look at my recent post about whether anyone had transferred 3 embryos as a Day 3 transfer you will see lots of opinions and experiences of people.
Hi there, countries where IVF is regulated will cap how many embryos can be transferred. In the UK, it is 3 but this is very rare.
However, I have family in Nigeria where I know some doctors routinely do this. My younger sister had 4 transferred and she thankfully had twins. She did meet another IVF patient who ended up with triplets. The mother was not pleased. This is the risk when more embryos are transferred.
Multiple pregnancies come with complications which is why some countries cap the number of embryos that can be transferred. My sister had to be on bed rest at 26 years of age and was admitted to hospital after some complications with the pregnancy. I on the other hand am 44 years of age and pregnant have not had the same level of issues.
All the best with your journey.
