Hello everyone, I few of you may have seen my post from a few days ago. I wanted to relay my story to people to give hope. Me and my husband started trying for a baby in 2018, we hadn’t Ben careful prior to getting married to be honest but I’ve never been caught, after a good year I decided to go for investigations with the doctor which they couldn’t find anything, my husband also went for investigations and they came back that we have unexplained fertility, following this we had 3 failed ivf cycles, the doctor basically told us we probably wouldn’t get pregnant on our own. We decided to try treatment elsewhere and decided a clinic abroad, to be honest I really didn’t want to go and the thought of treatment abroad scared the life out of me but I pushed on and booked flights, accommodation and paid for £1000 worth of stimulation meds. We decided start off September to have a break in scotland walking, beach days and eating, the week was Fantastic we had such a great time. When I got back the clinic told me to start taking the contraceptive pill for 21 days to regulate my period so I could start my injections. I did this and once I finished waited for my period to come so I could start my injections, however a few days went past and my period didn’t come, I didn’t think much of it as I thought the contraceptive pill had messed up my cycle but the clinic told me we couldn’t start the injections until my period came! I was pretty stressed thinking, where is it, I even tried to do squats to bring it on but nothing, the clinic told me to do a test and I did and to my utter shock it’s postive!! I’m still in shock and can’t believe it’s happened. We are nervous but excited at the same tine as it is early days. I wanted to tell my story to women who are having ivf or trying to conceive. It may take time but it will be worth it in the end xxx
