We've had 3 rounds of ICSI with no success but I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 endo following a laparoscopy. Just had my post-op consultation and they mentioned the possibility of an ultra-long protocol (3-6 months of down-reg), as apparently there is some evidence to suggest it might improve outcomes for those who have endo. It might well be academic as they are re-doing my ovarian reserve check and if that comes back low they'd probably suggest short protocol again to save time, but I was interested to hear whether anyone else has done this ultra-long protocol and what your experiences have been? It sounds kind of scary in terms of side effects etc! Thanks in advance.

Hi Red. Looks like they're going to shrink your endometriosis and then start a cycle of treatment once it is thin enough. Just another way of tackling endometriosis. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan. Diane
