So I posted the other day about my wife having a positive pregnancy test after her 2WW
My wife is slightly worried as she had tender breasts and today she doesn’t, It’s out of my area but is it normal for one day to feel one thing and then not the next.
She has had mild cramping like period pains and today she doesn’t.. this is the first time my wife has fallen pregnant so we are just unsure.

Congrats on your positive test! Honestly I know its easy for me to say but try to encourage your wife not to overanalyse symptoms. Its still early days and often the symptoms at this stage are more to do with the drugs rather than the pregnancy itself. Symptoms fluctuate from day to day and won't be constant. Your wife is pregnant so congratulations, try and enjoy it x
Hi there! Everyone is different - but during my first 10 weeks (and particularly early on) there were days when I felt symptoms, and days where I felt absolutely nothing - I could have sworn I wasn't even pregnant. It's been like that the whole time except now, at 13 weeks when the only sign that I am possibly pregnant is my slightly bigger boobs and a scan picture on my desk. Honestly please tell her not to worry - they will come and go all the time. x
Thank you for your kind message. The problem is you read a lot online (which I know your not supposed to do) and you read about chemical pregnancy and false positive.
The only thing I suppose that is reassuring is the 2WW test come back really strong and positive. The moment she dipped it in the pee I would say within 15 seconds I could see the positive mark and within 1 min it was full on bright blue cross
Absolutely! Google is a great resource but there's no filter so do you have to take it with a pinch of salt. As soon as you start googling this kind of thing you are likely to see the negative stories because people always want answers to them - but try to remember that a huge amount of pregnancies go ahead without issues - they're just not posted about as much as no one is googling "pregnancy with no problem"... The speed of your positive result is a good sign - do you have a blood test booked? As this is the best way to tell really x
I would say that this is quite normal as our body starts to get used with the pregnancy hormones so this is making her feel less and less symptoms further you go in your pregnancy during first trimester. Don't panic and stay positive, I know is difficult. My husband helped me a lot during first weeks of my pregnancy so I am pretty sure you will do to a great job in supporting her. Take care 🤗
Thank you for your kind words. It’s reassuring. I think because this is the furthest we have ever gone we are just being over cautious. When you want something so bad and it’s now upon us it’s a little overwhelming.
She has a 6 week scan next week and she just wants official confirmation she is pregnant.
Congrats on the +! My sore boobs came and went the first month or two of pregnancy. I was concerned as well but all is ok so far (27 weeks!)! Expect everything to fluctuate. At the end of the first trimester I was convinced I had a missed miscarriage because my symptoms vanished but baby was ok and my OB said this is just part of the process. Symptoms are reassuring but are not constant. Hope this helps!
Is she taking progesterone? If so it might mess with her symptoms. I believe most of my symptoms are from the progesterone, not the pregnancy. They say most people don't really get symptoms until you're at least 6 weeks. Did you take another test? If not, take one and compare it to the last test. If it's lighter that might be an issue. For my own experience the only time I stopped having symptoms was during a miscarriage, but I was much further along and not on progesterone.
