I have constant nausea and sickness and extreme tiredness. I refused any anti sickness drugs with my son but that was 10 years ago and there was a slight risk of miscarriage. Has anyone taken any medication for sickness in pregnancy please? Thanks x

Hi ladies im currently 6 +1 and for the past week I've felt dreadful.
Hi, I’m 6+2 and also feeling grim. I can no longer look at Instagram as it’s all food and drink posts. Trying to get my nutrition via juices and smoothies but only want to eat small bits of white food. Im finding not letting my stomach get completely empty helps. Can’t help with medication as I do t think I need it yet. Good luck on your journey ❤️
Hi I tried not to take the tablets but caved at 11 weeks. It helped a little bit didn’t stop it and my sickness lasted until 17-18 weeks but at least I could keep some food down. The midwife told me the quicker ladies start the tablets the more effective they seem to be. So if you are thinking of taking them it might be better to do it now. I had a healthy boy and they caused no issues ☺️
Ps as you are now preganant and this is a more pregnancy related question than fertility you might want to check out the NCT forum on here as there’s loads of helpful pregnancy related advise and you will get a better response rate than from the ladies still on their journeys to motherhood 😘 xx
Hi slupton. Oh dear! So sorry to hear this. If all the "old wives tales" fail, then it might be time to give in to some medication, although it is early days yet, and it might fizzle out on its own. Just do your best, but if things worsen, then ask your GP for help. Thinking of you. Diane
Hi, my pregnancies are very awful in the beginning as well. Unfortunately there is nothing that is deemed safe to take. The only thing I've heard of that is safe is a medication for cancer patients who go through chemo and are nauseous, but it's VERY expensive.
Thank you but I've had to start taking the medication my dr prescribed, my keytones were dangerously high and that's worst for the baby and me more than a slight risk from the medication I didn't keep water down for 2 days. I have a child already and I felt he deserves a mum who's well. Difficult decision to make but as long as you feel your doing your best for your family thats all you can do. Thank you for your reply ❤
