Hi all, my FET transfer day is approaching and we need to make a decision on what to transfer.
We have a frozen 5 day 3BB and a frozen day 3 8 cell grade 2.
We’ve been told we can grow the day 3 to day 5 and if it survives transfer them both, but I read something on here about transferring different quality embryos can lower the chances of success. Obvs we don’t know the quality if the day 3 makes it to day 5. Can it be frozen again if the quality is different?
I’m 43 now and have just done 3 months of prostap for adenomyosis in preparation for this transfer. This is our last shot and I’m not sure what to do. We could transfer them individually or together, what are your thoughts? X

Hi , Good luck on your transfer when it arrives. I would say transfer both. I too read on this forum about not transfer too different graded embryos, however i dont really believe the myth around it. I transfer two embryos on my second try to increase my odds and i think they are two separate grade embryos. Needless to say i did increase my odds alright they both stuck and i am 31 weeks pregnant with twins. I am a bit younger than you so result may vary but you just have to take a chance. Good luck.
As a future mum of twins 😂 I will probably say transfer 2. As we are saying "go big or go home" 🤣😃 I transferred 2 PGS tested embryos at 30 years old so we new that chances are very high to have twins but this was the only way that worked for us. We transferred before our twins, one normal PGS tested embryo and didn't work. Don't be afraid to transfer 2, there are also plenty positive things about this. Good luck 🤞♥️
Thanks Ranchu, I suppose the thing I’m afraid of is losing the good 5 day embryo because of doing a double transfer with another of a different quality. Amazing news about your twins, good luck with it all! x
I don't think quality matters that much and gradings are very subjective. If your embryos are both chromosome normal then the changes are equal, despite gradings. My 5AB normal embryo didn't progress (my best Normal embryo) we transferred after that 5 BB and 5BC PGS normal and both stuck. Go with your feelings and what your heart is telling you rather than with your researches, just my opinion. In this situation there is no right or wrong decision! Take care 💕🤗
