Hi, I’m 5 weeks 2 days with good beta tests however have developed the most cracking headache. I normally get this kind of headache before my period so terrified that something is very wrong. No bleeding and too early for scan which is scheduled in 12 days time.

I've had a dull headache pretty much constantly since about 4wks. I never get headaches except from overindulgence which obviously isn't relevant here! I also have what I would call brain fog and finding it very difficult to concentrate. I've had to take long naps later afternoon/early evening which isn't exactly convenient, but seems to help a bit. If you're prone to them anyway with hormone fluctuations it could be that - your progesterone, oestrogen and other hormones are probably going through the roof right now.
Maybe check with your GP, even to see if there are safe painkillers you can take if it gets really bad. X
I’ve been suffering with horrendous headaches since 4/5 weeks. I’m now 15 weeks and nothings changed. As MrsOrangejuice said, it’s all the oestrogen and progesterone raging through our bodies. My midwife said it will eventually ease off. Congratulations and you’ve got this. x
Headaches can also be a pregnancy symptom and sometimes low iron too. Are you on a multivitamin? I also found taking my medication (including the multivitamin) could trigger the headache and had to move them to a different time in the day where it didn’t affect my work and I could go lie down xx

Hi Snurf. If you are on progesterone, mit could be a reaction on the medication on your pituitary gland in your brain. Try drinking extra water, as that often settles it down. Speak to your GP if not. Diane
Hi all, thanks for your replies. I take pregnacare vitamin plus zita west vitamin D and fatty acids daily. I’ve been on those for months so dont think they’re the issue. I’m not under the care of my GP in fact still waiting for their referral for IVF from 20 months ago. I drink loads of water, 3 litres a day plus other fluids from juice/herbal teas. I’ve not had any caffeine for over 2 months now so can’t be that. It could be my progesterone doses, I take 3 different formats but will brave the migraine if it helps this baby stick.
