My second IVF cycle unfortunately ended with a miscarriage yesterday, same day of my 6 week viability scan, they could not detect an embryo and late yesterday afternoon I started to bleed. To say I am extremely sad is an understatement but must look forward to the future.
In terms of next steps, I am considering having the ERA/EMMA/ALICE tests done. Any advice on how I go about arranging this? Is this done through my fertility clinic or another company? Any company recommendations for these tests, please send me a private message.

Hi lovely, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. It's heartbreaking - I hope you're looking after yourself. The ERA test is to determine your exact window of implantation, but as you've had implantation before it may not be hugely useful for you. The ALICE/EMMA may be able to tell you more about what is going on in your uterus - maybe your bacteria is slightly unbalanced. Your fertility clinic should be able to perform the biopsy (you will have a mock FET and on the day you would usually transfer they take a biopsy of your uterus lining).
Are your clinic going to look in to reasons for your miscarriage? It can often be due to chromosomal abnormalities or could be immune issues. I would want a good follow up with them first to see what they suggest.
Thanks, my understanding of the ERA test is that its used to determine the timing of the transfer, as in when the level of progesterone is sufficient to ensure the embryo sticks, if the timing is off it will affect implantation.
