When does the 2ww begin?

I know this may seem a silly question but is the 2ww taken from egg collection (when the eggs are fertilised) or from transfer day?

I had my EC on Wednesday 4th August and transfer on Monday 9th August. My test day is today (so my clinic have advised) but should it not be Monday 23rd?

I’m a little confused!

Either way I’ve done a test this morning which is negative 😕

Your first day will be the day after transfer. Example, if you transferred on Monday, your Day 1 will be the next day (Tuesday). My clinic don't offer a 2ww, they do the pregnancy test 10 days from transfer.

Ok that’s interesting, I wonder why I’ve been told to test this early then........ 🤔Either way I imagine my negative is probably correct 😕

I updated my reply. My clinic tests 10 days after transfer and not 14 days like most clinics. Maybe your clinic is the same?

It must vary because my collection was 5th July and official test day was 21st July.
