Hello has anyone had this done on day 2 if there period? I had it done today but not sure what they are looking for? And does it help for the doctors to decide what stimulation ivf drive to be on? Thank you

Based on the information i have come across day 1 or 2 is the best time for this test to be carried out.

Hi Tilly. Yes, that is when an AFC is usually done. In total we are looking for around 15 follicles, which gives us an idea as to what medication, and what to give you. Hope all goes well. Diane

Hiya. Yes that is the norm - day 1 or 2. I have had them on various cycle days and I am always at 5 follies - it never seems to change for me (so I don’t worry about it anymore!). Mild stims help my small number of follies to mature, releasing more eggs - but my number doesn’t tend to change. I am however about to climb up to a higher dosage of mild stims to try and push my ovaries more, so we’ll see.But yes that’s normal hun x
