Transferring IVF funding to private clinic

Hi everyone,

I've just had the go ahead for IVF from my consultant and they agreed to explore transferring my funding to a private clinic where I had some initial investigations.

Has anyone else done this? Just wanted to check if I need to push things along? The doctor said she would fill out the form (I assume this is my funding application?) and send this over to the clinic. This was a week ago and I figured it would be a few weeks before I hear anything, so I'm just waiting at the moment.

Should I follow up with my private clinic to let them know?

I've read in a lost of posts that's people's GPs have submitted the funding form but my GP said they don't do this and it's via the hospital.

Any advice from someone's that's transferred their funding about what was involved and how long it took would be really useful!
