Sorry if TMI. I had my first FET on Monday at 1pm after a failed fresh transfer in May. Last night (Wednesday) at around 8:30pm I started to feel a little nausea and then spent the rest of the night on the bathroom floor. I've only just managed to keep down a piece of toast and a glass of water (24 hours later). I'm so so upset. Am I down and out?

I am not a doctor, but I would say probably not, although it depends what caused the gastro. If it was caused by listeria, then that could be a problem. If it was associated with a really high fever, that could also be an issue. If you didn't have either of those two things, the likelihood is that it had no impact at all and your embryo is safe in your womb. Don't stress about it. Lots of women have been incredibly sick not even knowing they were pregnant, and the baby was fine.
The evening of my first fresh embryo transfer, I had horrific nausea/diarrhoea/vomiting that lasted all night and was so sure that was us out. Can't quite stomach cauliflower cheese anymore 🤣Anyway, that little embryo is 5 months old today. Don't lose hope. x
The same thing happened to me, on the evening of my FET I had the worst diarrhoea of my life and was convinced it was all over. I’m now 31 weeks pregnant. I spoke to my clinic and they were not worried at all. Like another poster says, if you don’t have a fever you should be fine. Good luck!! X x x
Hi Sage. So sorry to hear this. You could probably try some dioralyte and see if that settle you. Speak to your GP and see what he/she recommends. Hope you soon feel better. Diane
Hello,I hope you are feeling better. I had the same after my fresh embryo transfer last week. It got me so worried. My clinic has reassured me that it won’t negatively impact the transfer. Did you take Diclofenac prior to the transfer? My clinic mentioned that this can be a side effect.
Hello! Thanks for replying. No I didn't take diclofenac tis time. It's so hard to imagine that feeling that poorly won't impact the embryo. Fingers crossed for you xx
