Late with taken crinone gel...please advise

Hi, I am meant to take crinone gel in morning and at night..I always take it at work as I start early but today I have forgotten to bring it with me and I work over an hour away from home so can’t just nip home...I will be home today at 2 so will be able to take it then...I am currently 6 weeks pregnant after FET...has anyone else been late in taken it? Am worrying incase this will have a bad effect on pregnancy xx

Hi Vicky. If you have got to 6 weeks pregnant, then hopefully your own progesterone will be taking over, so missing out on a dose shouldn't be too much of a problem. Hope all continues as it should. Diane

I mean when I get home should I take the dose that I missed this morning and then take my normal dose tonight again

I think the doses need to be 12 hours apart? So maybe just check with your clinic. I’d be inclined to just take the tonight dose and leave the missed out one? But I defo think you should contact your clinic and get the correct advice 😘💐

Hey, I’m 6+5 and on a host of medication to sustain this pregnancy. I was in A&E the other night and unable to take any of my meds on time, same with today as I’ve been in A&E again - the clinic advised that it’s more important that I’m well and that missing a dose or taking it late won’t cause harm. So far, everything has been okay. If you’re unsure, give your clinic a call xx

Thanks for this post, it reminded me to take mine.

I only take the crinone once a day from EC, in the evening. Apparently our bodies produce a bit of progesterone anyway - obviously we need support when the pregnancy is via IVF but it’s not the end of the world as it takes a while to leave your system.
