freaking about crinone gel

i’m a bit sensitive down below & am totally dreading starting crinone & potentially getting thrush.

i’ve to keep using progynova vaginally x2 daily - surely they’re just gonna get lost in all that gunk?! 😷

any tips greatly appreciated!

Crinone isn’t to bad as long as you make sure you ‘clear’ out every couple of days - I use to do it in the shower as gross as it sounds. You could always ask to use cyclogest instead xx

i’ve already got the gel, and after 2 failed rounds, i want to do exactly what i’m told - just so i don’t regret it later.

thanks for your reply though, i’ll look forward to a good clear out 🤣

hope your ok xx

Oh okay, I’ve used it for 4 cycles and never had any problems so I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’m okay thanks xx

Hi -noodles- my first icsi I was on cyclogest for only 2 weeks and it was awful. I think I was allergic to the waxy stuff. This time around I've been on Crinone for 10 weeks, it's great - so easy to use. I am really sensitive down there also and prone to thrush, soreness, itching etc but have had none of that on Crinone. As E_05 says you have to clear out every so often, but you get used to it xx

No worries, I hope they work the same for you. I get thrush from tampons so really do have a sensitive foof! I'm not sure about interaction with the progynova though as not sure what that is. Good luck xx

Crinone gel is actually not bad. I used it for my cycle. I used it for 15 days. I was advised by the nurse to walk for 15-20 minutes after squeezing it in and that seemed to help. When she said walking I thought I would just move around the house for 15-20 minutes but she said she advised me to do a proper walk instead of moving around in the house. So I went out for a 45 mins walk every morning after inserting it. I think that must have helped me. I never had to clear it out at all. All I did was use a pant liner and it didnot come out as gross as I thought. It was just like cm some times. Not a lot. I keep wondering where it all went. You have to be careful with scooping it out not to irritate the cervics and also passing on bacteria. Honestly you will be ok with crinone gel x

You will be fine love. Just go for a walk as soon as you squeeze it in. I was worried about it coming out but no it doesn’t. I am sure you will be ok.x
