Medications for ivf

I have just come off the phone from the embryologist discussing further treatment, I’ve had 3 rounds of ivf the first round 3 Amps on meriofurt where I got 11 eggs, the second round they put me on 4 Amps so a stronger protocol and I got 5 eggs and the quality wasn’t good, the third round I got 8 eggs and better quality, the embryologist said it wasn’t usual to not do aswel when I was on a higher dosage. Has this happened to anyone else? X

Yes, me!

Round 1, NHS, Sept 2020, x4 Meriofert, 16 eggs, 10 fertilised;

Round 2, private clinic, Nov 2020, x2 Meriofert + x2 Fostimon + Growth Hormone, 9 eggs, 3 fertilised; the embryologist said the decline was because my body was aging fast at my age (41 at the time), which pissed me off - I aged so much within just 2 months, really?

Round 3, same private clinic (because I can't be bothered with the amount of admin changing clinic), x3 Meriofert + x3 Fostimon (max dose anyone is allowed), 10 eggs collected today; 10 doesn't sound to too bad compared to Round 2, but from the monitoring scan and blood, I know that in fact I have less well-developed eggs this time.

Conclusion: the higher dose I have, the worse I score!

Hi, thanks for replying, have you had any success with your rounds? It’s seems the higher the dose for me the lower eggs I get and quality. The embryologist said it was unusual x

Well, now you know you are not alone! No luck so far. My partner has sperm problems, which we have tried to improve. Round 1&2 got me BFN, Round 3 TBC x
