Bemfola bleeding gums

I don’t know whether it’s related, I’m on day 7 of bemfola and I noticed last night that there was a lot of bleeding while brushing my teeth.

I very rarely experience any bleeding but i feel like my gums are tender.

Has anyone else had this?x

Not had it with FSH meds but for the last few years each month I can tell when my period will be due because for a couple of days, my gums get swollen, tender and bleed, often with mouth ulcers. I aso got it during the 2ww. Dr Google suggested it's to do with progesterone but also common in pregnancy, so I guess it can be caused by hormonal changes. Just a fun addition to the mix of unpleasant side effects of IVF! Maybe check with your clinic too.

Thanks for replying, that’s exactly what it’s like - they are swollen (a little) and bleed when I brush. When I floss (or use those little stick things the dentists recommend) it’s like my mouth ends up full of blood.

Not pregnant - not yet, as still waiting for egg collection. I guess it’s the hormones generally - very weird feeling but nothing awful apart from the bleeding gums.

I have good gums and teeth and I want it to stay that way.
