Hi Guys, not posted in a while was so upset when i done the pregnancy test and it was negative. i had convinced myself and my partner we had twins, and was so excited to say the least.

obviously not meant to be. so how do you guys cope second time round I'm very anxious, full on higher doses of dugs and a tad emotional.

i played everything by the book last time and I'm not sure what happened.

any advice how many times have you all been through ?

Hi EmRob

Sadly it very rarely seems to work the first time, but that doesn't help how crushing it is when you get a BFN.

It really is a rollercoaster ride, probably with more downs than ups. But it might be all worth it in the end 😊

Did you have any frozen embryos or are you starting from egg collection again?

It is amazing how they can tweak your protocol as they learn more about what works and what doesn't work for your body. Fine tuning.

I had 3 IUIs, my first full IVF failed, I had only one egg fertilise out of about 10 mature eggs. Ive had ICSI, fresh and frozen transfers but each time we've adjusted.

I've just had my second FET from this cycle and as my clinic said - we're throwing everything at it except the kitchen sink.

How to cope, just take each day as it comes, don't give up hope and be thankful there are still options. At least that's how I face it xx

i was lucky i had 12 eggs taken and frozen a few didn't survive i think i have 7 left they put in two embryos last time and didn't take so will try two again this time i go in on tuesday and then do a test 10 days later, its so difficult to know what to do. constantly overwhelmed and i have a stressful work life to which don't help. did you feel like just sitting in a dark room ? thats how i got not like me at all but doctor said its the amount of meds I'm taking, hopefully will work this time round. good luck to you !!!! let me know how you get on. xxx

Wishing you lots of luck! I’ve just had my second transfer, it’s such an emotional rollercoaster, definitely more worrying than the first time around. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes x

Hi EmRob. So Sorry to hear that your cycle didn't work this time, and I hope you've got plenty of support just now. Just you look after you for now until you feel able to try again - which you will I'm sure. Your specialist will have learned much about how you have reacted during this cycle, and can hopefully fine-tune it next time. Thinking of you. Diane
