So, I went to acupuncture today and lady has made me little worried as she was saying that there are chances that some woman may have empty sac... and now I don't know what to think... I have no symptoms at all apart from positive pregnancy tests and some cramps but they come and go ... helppp plssss

Yeah she literally frightened me … my viability test hasn’t been booked yet… hoping a call from midwife soon … I found out this on Tuesday xx

Don’t worry about lack of symptoms, lots of ladies don’t have any at all, some have lots

Although is is quite insensitive of the lady, she is unfortunately correct in what she says that an empty sac can be found, but that doesn’t mean it applies to you!
I’ve been on this forum for several years and can count on less than one hand the amount of times I’ve seen that reported.
The viability scan is probably one of the most important as it shows early on what is happening in there.

Don’t worry yourself with those kind of tales. If you were to listen to all the possibilities of things going wrong in pregnancy, you would never leave the house. Try to remain positive and block out any negative thoughts/vibes. Good luck!

Why would she even say that to you? Ugh!! Loads of ladies don’t have the symptoms darling, please try and put that out of your mind xx

What a horrid thing to say. I have my viability scan next Thursday, and I’m terrified so if you want someone to keep in touch with just pop me a message. I feel quite symptom-less too, my stomach feels quite tight but that’s about it and that could be down to progesterone. Look after yourself x
Ohhh … don’t think much hunni … so sorry if my post has given u any kind of negative thought … don’t think at all pls pls pls and just be positive … lots of love and you will be absolutely fine with the viability test I am 💯 sure as what people say doesn’t affect the truth … look after your self too, I will msg you sure, would love to hear from some one who is on same boat as me xx
Oh it’s not you! My blood tests have shown low levels of hcg so I’ve been convinced this isn’t going to stick. I need to put google away! xx
Well I havent heard that one before and of course it can happen to anyone but how cruel to worry you like that! If it helps, I didn't have symptoms and I recently had twin boys so it certainly didn't mean that for me. Best of luck.xxx

How insensitive!! Why she would cause you so much worry is beyond me. Don’t be letting it get to you. I’m sure all is ok. A few of my friends didn’t have any symptoms early on and one of them was pregnant with twins!! Symptoms don’t mean anything. Please try and stay positive. Sending you love and advice to get a new person to do your acupuncture!! Xx

What a terrible and unhelpful thing for her to say! Whether or not you have symptoms really does not determine your pregnancy! Ugh. We go to acupuncture to de-stress usually, so why is it that SO MANY acupuncturists say awful misinformed things to their patients like this??? I'm sorry you've had to deal with it. But not having symptoms would not determine the viability of your pregnancy. You can have all the symptoms and not have a viable pregnancy, or have no symptoms and have a perfect viable pregnancy. The symptoms are caused by the HCG mostly, and that doesn't even know if the embryo is still alive. I had a MMC and my nausea continued to increase as if nothing was wrong because my body didn't know. My point is that you don't have any reason to worry. Just because someone is "right" (yes, some pregnancies are not viable, duh) it doesn't mean it was in any way helpful or even relevant to you. Please ignore this woman and find a new practitioner if you can, if you want to continue, because I've found that kind of thing never really stops and they seem to feel powerful by making you terrified the whole time. Hi, there!! I also haven't experienced symptoms apart from the occasional mild cramps and yesterday I had my first scan at 6w2d and everything was fine!!We even noticed the little embyo's heart pounding 🥰 Wish you all the best!
Hi I’m currently 6weeks 3days from an ivf transfer.. did you have any slight symptoms.. I seemed to and then they have eased off and not really having anything noticeable I’m so worried and scan isn’t for another week x
No, apart from some cramps I still haven't got any symptoms. My last scan was at 7 weeks (due to some bleeding I had) and again our little embryo was fine. Now I have to wait for another week for my next scan so I know how you feel... It's nerve wracking😳.
