Failed first ice cycle

Hi

I did my pregnancy test on 11th day post 5 day transfer and it was a negative result 😫. The 11 th day was my OTD . I did another test today just in case and it’s negative. I called the clinic and all the nurse said was “ I am so sorry “ . She has booked a doctors appointment. Not sure what should I ask him . I did ask the nurse why she think this didn’t work and she said it’s to do with the embryo not developing for it to implant . But if this is going to keep happening wouldn’t it end up with the same result no matter how many cycles of ivf I do ?

Hey so sorry to hear this, I have just gone through the same thing! I had a 3AB embryo and it failed to implant its hard to digest, but from what I have read online a lot of embryos are defective and would have resulted in miscarriage or birth defects if it had implanted..

I am keen to start my second cycle but as I only had one embryo I must start again. I’m trying to be positive also. Fingers crossed next cycle we get BFP 🥰

Are you doing anything different in this second cycle? I am not feeling very positive going into it just repeating the process without any type of investigation or additional tests or something to make feel like the result would be different the second time around

I think this time they are going to get me to inject in my legs as I have scar tissue from a tummy tuck previously! It really can just be a embryo that wasn’t strong enough..

You can try acupuncture it’s supposed to help and supplements! I know it’s the unknown but it will all work out 🥰

So sorry to hear that! It’s taken me a bit of time to deal with it. But, I’m trying to remain positive! I only had one embryo so got to start the process again! Although it’s a difficult situation for us, we are not alone in it! We just have to be positive and know eventually it will work out for us! 🥰
