So my second fresh cycle, well I say second has failed as still testing negative at day 11dp5dt So I’m guessing all hope is lost now. I will test again on Tuesday OTD

I’ve already booked at follow up appointment to discuss what questions can I ask.

First IVF was successful my daughter three we did long protocol but only managed 2 decent embryos, we tried Natural FET but that failed at 5 weeks, we did another fresh long protocol had a lot of drugs end up Freeze all due to 25 eggs but they were obviously not good quality as they didn’t make blasts until day 6, we had both transferred unfortunately big fat negative.

We switched protocols to short antagonist protocol my AMH is still good for my age 38 and AMH in the 20s

12 eggs/9 mature/5 fertilised on day 5 we end up with one decent 5AB and another couldn’t be graded. They were both transferred There was another but wasn’t good enough to freeze.

What suggestions is there to try next?

Someone said to have a scratch done..

I’m just so gutted I really thought we was on to a winner this time.

The embryologist said we just need to find that one good egg..

What’s the statistics on 3rd fresh cycle being a success? X

So sorry to hear that this cycle hasn't been successful, it's so hard to go through this process. I got pregnant on my 3rd cycle, had nothing to put in the freezer with any of them. I know you've done a few different cycles and different protocols can produce different results. For me I did long protocols for cycle one and two, and short protocol for cycle 3. They produced similar egg numbers but possibly different quality as one stuck this time. I'd ask the consultant if they can try different med combinations to see if that changes anything. Also do what you can to optimise egg and sperm quality with supplements and lifestyle which I'm sure you are anyway. For now though just take time for yourself to grieve this cycle and look after yourself.
