Little bit of help and advice needed

So we have had two fresh cycles 1st 7 eggs collected 4 fertilized 2 implanted bfn after 2ww but we have a single frosty we went straight in to a second round with the addition of Luveris 7 eggs collected not a single one fertilized round 2 was over like that. Due to my age 41 we have decided to go straight in again on our last fresh try as we paid for 3 cycles they now want to add a tablet Estrogel or something that I take from day 21 of my cycle now I’m not sure what this is and I’m waiting on a call back any ideas any joy using this ? What it is what it does ? This is our last chance to gain eggs and I’m looking for some hope

Have you done DNA fragmentation test on the sperm? No fertilization on 7 eggs seems pretty drastic. I wonder if male factor is involved.

Hi, sorry, I don’t know about this, but am interested in whether it works fit you. My 1st and 3rd EC’s were total fertilisation failures - so in total 15 mature eggs that didn’t fertilise, & one of the attempts was with ICSI. My 2nd EC did result in fertilisation, which we thought was the ICSI making the difference. The 3rd EC proved that to be wrong! The discussions I had suggested assisted oocyte activation was the next option for me. As with most things to do with fertility, no one really knows anything for certain and it can be a little trial and error. I do hope they manage to find something that makes the difference for you. Hi Guinny. It's extra oestrogen to hopefully help you produce more eggs. A DNA fragmentation test is another route to follow perhaps, to check out the sperm that look good, but maybe not inside. Good luck! Diane
