I’ve had two that were abnormal. The clinics have a responsibility and duty of care and will not transfer abnormal embryos.
So unless you e given consent for them to be used for research etc, they will go in the bin
Hi Saira. I just wanted to say I am thinking of you as you decide whether to transfr your embryos or not. Your embryologist will give you good advice I;m sure. Diane
Thank you means a lot
Here's more research on transferring abnormal embryos thecut.com/2017/09/ivf-abno...
Unfortunately in the UK (you may well not be in the UK) clinics wont transfer abnormal embryos but you can transfer mosaic embryos after genetic counselling.
In those countries where its permissible, there have been cases where people have had success following transfer of abnormal embryos. Here is one research paper pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/312.... But there will be others, no doubt, saying something different.
Thought to update here i had a detailed discussion with the genetic councillor apparently we cant transfer that are abnormal & complex abnormal & high level mosaic in the UK
