Covid vaccine
Hi.
Have you asked your clinic?
I know some people who have felt unwell after the vaccine for a day or two so not sure if that would affect the treatment cycle.
Good luck with your cycle x
Hi,
I had the same confusion back in April as also been waiting for a FET. I contacted my doctor and clinic for advice and they both said they couldn’t advise me as such but the benefits would outweigh the negatives of having it. They also said I needed to consider the side effects of the vaccine and so shouldn’t have it the same day as the transfer. Back in April I was expecting my vaccine a couple of weeks before my transfer but it hasn’t worked out so soon after it will actually nearly be 8 weeks since having my first dose. Some clinics are advising different timings to wait after so I would advise contacting your doctor and clinic but ultimately it’s whatever you feel is best to do. I found the decision really hard and was really ill for about 4 days after my vaccine.
Good luck with everything xx
I’ve been advised not to take the vaccination until after pregnancy test. Would have been ok if it was before starting stimulation drugs.
I am waiting to hear what my clinic say tomorrow,i woul like to have the vaccine but with the process i don’t want to endanger my possibility too of FET
I was told it needed to be at least 4 weeks before an egg transfer. I managed to get my first does in 5 weeks before my FET. I figured one does was better than nothing. Xx
I am on just the start of my first treatment of FET so no idea but hope my clinic tell me otherwise tomorrow
Hey, I had my vaccine on the first day I started meds for FET so about 17 days before transfer. I got a bfp but not had viability scan yet. 🤞🏽 If you get any side effects from the vaccine it should only last about 2 days so I will think as long as it’s not directly around transfer day it should be ok, but obviously check with your clinic as advice differs.
Our clinic said you could have the first dose but not the second.
I didn’t see the point in that because the second dose needs to be administered in a certain time frame, for you to have full protection.
Having read comments on newsfeeds and research that has been publish I will be waiting, I would have waited anyway but some studies have firmed up my decision. I’m currently 10 weeks + 6 so don’t want to risk anything
It’s taken us 6 yrs to get to this stage
My clinic said not to have it during the FET cycle that I’m currently doing but I asked if I can have it if I get pregnant and they said yes, although I don’t know if I’d want it very early in my pregnancy, maybe once things were more steady. Another worry to add to my list!
I got mine last week. I'm not doing my next frozen egg transfer until August. I did feel rough for about a day afterwards.
