Levothyroxine and Chinese herbs for fertility

I appreciate this is a random one but does anyone know if Chinese herbs counteract levo absorption? I take levo in the morning and herbs in tea form before bed so there’s a good 8-9 hours between ingestion of each so I assumed no issue with it. Still would like reassurance!! Anyone know?

Yes I think you’re right. Hoping I’ll have a phone appt in the next couple of weeks with the Endo and I’ll lay it all out on the table to see what he thinks xx

Iim not on Chinese herbs but am on levo. I think would be good to check your ths levels after you on the herbs for a couple of weeks? Xx

I decreased my levo dose on the advice of the endo as he felt I’d gone too far even though I was feeling good. The slight decrease which worked out to be 50mcg/week has equated to a sizeable drop in T4 which has left me feeling tired/emotional so i need to increase again. I did start Chinese herbs approx 6 weeks ago after the dose decrease but I really don’t know if this has had an impact or not. I’ve had a really bad chest infection plus another horrible cold over this time too so don’t know if those would have affected the drop on thyroid hormone too. So hard to know! What are your numbers. As long as ths is under 2.5 docs will tell you you are ok for ttc xx

They’re not great. TSH is 10, up from 0.27 in February when I was told to drop the dose slightly. Sigh! Have to increase again to get it back to closer to that xx
