Hi all not posted for a while as been waiting for our NK cells test!! We finally have our video consultation on Friday just wondering if anyone else has had one recently and if there's any questions I should definitely ask Dr Broesens about?
Thanks in advance

What was your NK test result? As our cycle and pre meds have been tailored around those results. This is cycle 4 for us, so pretty down with the process so didn’t ask any new questions really
Sorry I should have put in my post, we've not had the test yet today was just our initial consultation with Prof Brosens, biopsys will be taken next month after surge and repeated the following month 🙂
What is your NK cells level? You know all the clinic might no longer prescribe steroids because the HFEA has stopped this. You can check with yours but they won’t propose your treatment with steroids which was used to clam your NK cells if you have high level previously.
I think as a rule, because of covid, clinics are not giving out steroids as they used to as it lowers immunity. Saying that , I have transfer tomorrow and have been on prednisone since day 7. I had intralipids on the day of collection too to treat my NK cells which was slightly elevated. You could do IVIG instead of steroids and intralipids but it’s the most expensive option. Best of luck!!
Hmm did George agree to prescribe a steroid? Dexamethasone is being used for covid patients not sure what the supply is now but it was stopped last April. Usually used as part of down regulation with Zita west on long protocol. Prednisone is the alternative but he didn’t prescribe it to me in my Oct or March cycle this year. He will probably do the intralipids, the aspirin/heparin. Did he ask you to take methyal folate?
The thing with the NK cells blood test is that the blood is taken from central vein so elevated NK could exist in other parts of the body, there is no way of knowing if it’s the uterus which is why the treatment is controversial but standard. I don’t your age know age history etc. But usually the 3 options are do nothing, or iVIG which is about £2500 a pop and you need it 3 times, on egg collection and then monthly after a positive pregnancy test up to 3 months. The steroid option plus the intralipids (which is like soy milk). Transfusion (highly calorific 😉. You are in good hands with those guys.
