Home Insemination Kit recommendations?

Hi All,

Has anyone ever purchased the above and can recommend where to get them or a particular brand? Any success from it? We are having some troubles trying naturally so thought we'd try it here or there to relieve some of the pressure.

xx

Hi, I used the Mosie Kit. It worked for me after failed IVFs mostly due to my age and low AMH. I'm almost 17 weeks now, so not quite there yet but hopeful. It's super easy to use and frankly a life-saver because we were tired of ttc. Some cycles we just couldn't even try anymore, and I didn't want to waste a possibly good egg that's why I bought it as a back up plan. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the recommendation. Do you know if I can order it in the UK or would it be sent from the US? My issue is also age and low AMH and after 2 failed IVFs it seems as if we got further naturally albeit we miscarried a number of times.

Congrats on being successful, that is great news and I think I'll order the kit asap. We are also tired of ttc and this takes the stress out of it if we're not feeling up to it during ovulation.

Can you reuse the Mosie kit or it supposed to be once time use?

Not sure, maybe you can email them and ask if they are able to ship to UK. Otherwise I'm thinking if there are similar looking ones sold in the UK or on Amazon, those should be fine too. I like it because of that round tip on the syringe. Comfy to use. They are not reusable but they give you 2 syringes in a pack so you can try twice during one cycle. I got lucky on a 3rd try after using it but a cheaper option maybe better if you are looking to do a bunch of cycles. I was about to do donor egg treatment but due to covid was unable to travel for transfer and figured I do at home IUI while waiting. It was my last ditch effort with my OE.

I am the same as you and thinking of going DE so this is what we said we'd try but maybe we'd do another ICSI cycle if we can afford it. I wonder why the syringes can't be sterilised for more uses 🤔. Not sure if that is gross so sorry if so but was just thinking why would they not be reusable 🤔

Lol I actually sterilized and reused the collection cup, since only one comes in a box with 2 syringes. The problem with cleaning the syringe maybe all the nooks and crannies and rubbery parts. It's different than an ordinary looking basic plastic one. Also not sure if it breaks apart once you pull it open. Ultimately, yeah I didn't want to take any chances with it.

Lol yes it makes sense not to risk anything. The shipping to the UK extortionate on top of a minimum order of £135. Its a shame as they look really good xx

Hi, we are in the UK and bought bits separately off Amazon. We bought needle-less syringe and sterile sample pots - they came in bulk packs of 20-30 so plenty for a few months! Though I think you can buy smaller packs. We did buy the rounded top syringes the 2nd time and they are much more comfy to use.It hasn't been successful for us as yet but my partner has low motility and we are awaiting IVF. Good luck with it x

Hi Purplewave, thanks for this. I don't suppose you have a link to what you ordered? I can't seem to find much on Amazon but maybe i am searching for the wrong description :( xx

Hi, These were the syringes: amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07FCC...

We did order some sample pots, I think they were urine sample pots, but we actually found a small Tupperware box with rounded edges better to be able to get more of the semen out with the syringe rather than the sharper edges of the sample pots. Good luck x
