Went to our 7 week scan from a frozen ivf cycle. The lady said we are measuring 6 weeks and 2 day not 7 weeks there was a heart beat but she said it slower than what they would like, she was apologising to me and my partner like we had already lost the baby?! Which leaves me with no hope at all! Got to carry on ivf medication because there was a heart beat!
Got to go back Tuesday for another scan anyone got worried on there first scan and all fine on the second? Xx

At my 8 weeks scan I was measuring 4 days earlier and I was really concerned about it but they said it was fine. After doing a bit of research I found that it can be up to a week out without any cause for concern plus it's really difficult for them to get an accurate measurement when they are so tiny. Can you remember how many beats per minute the heart rate was? When do you get another scan? Also I'm guessing you had to go alone for this one? 😔 So stressful but hopefully you will hear some positive stories on here xxxx
I really hope things turn around for you. At least it's not too long to wait until Tuesday. Hopefully she just wanted to prepare you for worst case scenario and things might improve. I'm glad your hubby was with with you xx
At my 7 week scan I was told it was measuring 7 weeks and 7mm which is bang on and the baby should grow a mm a day from now on. A few weeks later I got a letter from the clinic saying the scan was nearly 8 weeks and showing 9mm which led me to panic a lot until I had my 12 week scan. When in my panic I kept looking up growth charts ect online. I read a lot of people say how they can be out with the measurements because it's so small and hard to do. There were lots if stories about people measuring small and giveing birth to health babies. I'm not sure about the heart beat but I have everything crossed for you x
Hi Shaylahawke. Sadly this happens, then you get a wonderful surprise when you go back. Your little one is only a tiny bit behind, so let's hope that little heartbeat picks up, then the rest should follow. Thinking of you. Diane
Sending you love and hope and courage all will be ok 🌈🌈🌈🌈
Measuring up to 5 days or a week behind is perfectly normal at this stage. As the others have said, it is really hard to get a good measurement at this stage. I would be more worried if there was no heartbeat at a 7 week scan. Perhaps the person at the clinic does not realise this. You have a wee heartbeat which is great.
Big hugs to you and hopefully your scan on tuesday will give you reassurance xxx
I didn’t really think much of it at the time but been googling loads about it, I had a large sac and with them both together it’s really not a good sign and I’ve not seen any positive stories! Thankyou lady’s but I think on Tuesday it will be the end!xx
