Freezing eggs early -ivf

Egg retrieval yesterday and 15 of them have been fertalised. They are doing things differently to my first round, they are freezing today and then thawing in batches rather than waiting for them to reach blastocyst stage and then freezing. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this as I'm a bit unsure of why they are doing this?

Thanks.
