COVID Vaccine
I recently had a bfp after an fet on 10th March. I was called to make my appt. for vaccine and I chose at this point not to have it. I am sure it is perfectly safe but it has taken 6 attempts at Ivf to get here so I just didn’t want to do anything that may risk this pregnancy in anyway. x
The general consensus is to take it before ivf starts but not when pregnant, unless youre clinically vulnerable.
The official guidance is that those in IVF treatment or trying to get pregnant should not avoid the vaccine.
If you do fall pregnant after your first dose, you can opt out of the second dose.
I have already had my first dose and will have my second dose just before I start stims next month.
Hope this helps x
When I was called for my first jab, shortly after a failed fresh transfer, I asked my consultant and he strongly recommended that I have the jab. I then had the opportunity to have have number two, two days before my egg collection for my next IVF cycle and he still recommended that I go ahead with it.
