I’ve got my egg retrieval today and even though I don’t have many follicles (can only see 3 large follicles and 4 small follicles). I’m praying for a miracle and that in the last two days those 4 small ones have also matured.. a girl can dream right!!
Just wanted to know if there is anybody else in the same situation?
Good luck to you all ❤️

I’m not doing egg retrieval at the moment (doing a FET), but I remember being told not to get hung up on the results of interim milestones as indicators of the final result. You can have loads of follicles, loads of eggs, and still it won’t work - or you can have few follicles, few eggs and it’ll work! You only need one 🤗🙏 I had 17 eggs, ended up with only 2 viable embryos - a friend had only 6 eggs but 4 turned into viable embryos.... 🤷🏼♀️ wishing you best of luck 🤞 x
Just been called to say 5/7 have fertilised and now it’s a waiting game! He said he will call tomorrow to let me know if it’s divided further etc. Eek I read online that only 50% become viable so we will need to wait and see!
Thanks I’ve been Googling all sorts and it’s been driving me mad! I’ve heard only about 50% become blastocysts so cross fingers, toes and everything really! This is so scary. To think it could all go wrong after all these months of prepping and getting mentally prepared for this process.
Oh I know - and I realised as I was waiting for ours to develop - that I had actually never thought - I might not make it to transfer! But you got to hope 🤞🥰 and I don’t say this to worry you, so hope it does not come across the wrong way - you really only need one! Our blastocyst rate was less than 50%. We got 2 out of 8, but I am currently pregnant- so the numbers does not really matter - you need one to develop well! And if you get more to freeze - I have been told you are lucky! But I do hope for all success for you!! 💫
