I have just had a chemical with another PGS normal embryo, after having a miscarriage with a PGS normal last year.
I have had every test - NK cells, blood clotting etc - and for this round, I spent a lot on IVIg. The doctor just keeps telling me "its a numbers game", but I am losing hope rapidly.
We have a sperm DNA fragmentation issue - are my embryos just really bad quality even though they made it to blast and are genetically normal? Or is it me? Should I look at surrogacy for my last embryo? My doctor gives me no possible answers.
Any experiences of this? I have another PGS normal to transfer and now I am completely petrified. I don't know what else to do...
Hi, I’m so so sorry to hear about your chemical, just utterly deveststing. I think I saw youre being treated at CRGH and I am aswell. We’ve just had our 6th failed implantation with a pgs embryo and our doctor is considering treating me for NK cells as my levels appear higher than they would like. I feel so conflicted about having all the infusions and steriods, let alone in the middle of a pandemic! What has your experience been of the treatment? I’ve never seen two lines so we don’t really know what else to try because we’ve tried everything else and we only have a couple more embryos left and I just don’t know if I can face more embryo batching cycles to try and get any more. I also asked about when the right time to consider surrogacy might be at our follow up appointment yesterday and our doctor didn’t really give us any answers either - it’s just unbelievably hard knowing what to do next.
I really hope you have some good support around you and you’re being kind to yourself at this really shit time xx
Hi ladies. I am on the same boat as you two. 7 failed transfers (2 MCs and 2 chemical pregnancy and 3 negative). I just changed to CRGH recently and found out NK cells super abnormal! TNF 57 and IFN 40. I am sorry to hear that it didn’t work even with the NK cells treatment. I had the call consultant with my doctor this afternoon he said NK cells is high doesn’t necessary mean it causes the MC or chemical but is associated with it so that we need to treat it. Do you think there is any other underlying issues? PGS is usually 95% accuracy. My husband has high DFI as well. Don’t know what else we can do! Seems have tried many many things and tested almost every subject.
Hi lovely, have you thought about having an ERA test done? If you're having chemicals (sorry to hear this - they suck) then perhaps your timing is just slightly out? xxx
