Iām sure this has been asked before so sorry if Iām covering old ground. I have a virtual meeting for Treatment Consents tomorrow, can anyone tell me what I can expect and if Iāll have a start date?
Also are there any questions I should be preparing? This is our first round so all new at the moment. Donāt want to miss the boat if I should be asking something important.
Thanks all
X

Hello. The consent meeting mainly goes through travel history, legal questions about parental position for any embryos and then your consent and preference re any clinical decisions. The nurse should explain it all the start date would depend mainly on whether the doctors have already planned out your treatment protocol? If so youād be able to start at your next cycle as long as youāve got all your meds etc... as for questions, nothing special I donāt think - just make sure to ask whatever youād like to know, donāt feel shy, itās important youāre comfortable and know everything you feel you need to when you start x
Thank you for replying. I think theyāve decided Iām doing an antagonist protocol which I think is short? I could be wrong. We did a lot of online consent forms a couple of weeks ago so I wasnāt sure what else there was to agree on. I was hoping it was going through the meds etc and we would get a start date. Really praying for that, something to aim for you know x
Thereāll definitely be a medication teaching session at some point - They might do it together? The nurse needs to explain the injections etc, how and when, if she hasnāt done that already and youāve done your consents online she might go through that too x
It's basically just to check everything is in order - but I might ask for recommendations on what supplements/vitamins to take in your position if you haven't already had that discussion. Types and amounts. I find that oftentimes isn't focused on, but it can have an impact - and I definitely wanted to know I could do as much as I possibly could my end.
