Dear everyone,
I have been following this site for a few months now. I posted about how best to support my daughter and her wife, who have been on a very, very long journey, with ups and many downs. The proverbial rollercoaster. So - after over five years, one self-inseminated pregnancy that ended in a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks, three failed IUIs, five failed transfers, two more miscarriages, tens of thousands of pounds, a remortgage, more bleeding and the diagnosis of a subchorionic haemmorhage, today I got the best text - 'Houston, we have a heartbeat'.
OK so I know we're not out of the woods, but this has been a significant step forward. One thing I would say. If you're not happy with your clinic, consider changing. The difference in practice and attitude between their first and second clinic has been like night and day.
I'll probably stop following for a while, but I want to wish you all love and hope. It's such an emotional journey and I wish you well wherever you are along the road.
