Anyone’s period been knocked out of sink after IVF?

I semi expected my first natural cycle to be out of sink after IVF but my second is odd too. I had a very light period for 7 days then a couple of days of barely nothing now I’m on a full blown period - this is day 10! Before IVF they were around 5 days, regular and neither light nor heavy!

Since starting ivf in 2017, my previously 28 day perfect cycles are now all over the place my last one was 77days I think 🙄

I think my actual cycle is same length but just bleeding for much longer! Wow 2017! Maybe my cycle will never be the same again either. What do your doctors say?

Nothing really as long as one does come I'm going to be on medicated cycles going forward and it makes no difference x

My first was quite normal but second was odd. 23 day cycle! I’m worrying about being peri/menopausal now on top of everything else. Hopefully it’s the IVF 🙏🏼 Xx

That’s exactly what I’m thinking too!

I had a failed medicated FET in late Jan. My first period has lasted 13 days and is still going with the occasional brown discharges...I almost started wondering if I got cancer from the heavy does of hormones :(

Don’t worry too about cancer and extra hormones. But I do think it can mess with cycles!

I agree, even when you read it’s common for ivf cycles to mess up your natural cycle it’s still scary and unnerving, and at a time when you just don’t need any extra stress. I had a failed fresh transfer last week and my bleed was heavy for 6 days phasing out from red to brown as normal, then disappeared for 2 days; felt like a normal enough period for me; but then suddenly it reappeared but with bright red as if it was a new period, that lasted for another 4/5 days. Very disconcerting!

That’s exactly, what’s happened to me now for the second month! Are you back to normal yet?

Good to know we’re not alone though! My bleeding has stopped now since Friday (D13 of bleed not counting the 2 day break). I’ll have to see how the next cycle goes and whether my second month is messed up as well. It really just shows how much the treatment and hormones is messing with our bodies 😕 hope yours stops soon (because it is unnerving) and that things regularise for you 🤞🏼

Thank you and you too! I’m worried I’ll still be bleeding on transfer day which will be around day 17. It’s not booked until April but if it’s not settled I can’t see transfer day going ahead!

Oh that sucks! I hope it resolves itself for you, best of luck 🤞🏼🤞🏼
