I had a double embryo transfer on the 20th June (natural FET with zero medication / progesterone) I’ve been having BFP since 6DPT (I knew I was pregnant as I was having such strong symptoms) and then last Saturday the symptoms faded - didn’t feel as sick or tired anymore.. I was devastated as I’ve had 3 chemical pregnancies previously and a loss of symptoms is something I always had first.. I did a test on Tuesday which was 20DPO and had a nice strong line still and felt so relieved. But I’ve done two tests today and yesterday and as you can see the control line is getting darker (when back on 16DPO it was a dye stealer) is it game over for me? Ps all tests done with FMU.. any help would really help me out as I am panicking here.. I’m 6 weeks today. Thanks x

Have you tried diluting the urine? Sometimes, if the level of hCG are too high, you get the hook effect and the test line is faiding because it can’t get any darker. This happened to me as well. Good luck 🤞🏻
It could be the hook effect, unfortunately tests only cause anxiety at this stage (I’m also really bad for this). I’ve seen people slightly dilute their urine and get a darker tests when it’s the hook effect?
You should be at an Hcg level where something could be seen in a scan, so you could always try and get your local miscarriage unit to scan you or have a private scan. More FRER tests are unlikely to help at all.
Or you could order 2 x finger prick hcg blood tests online from medichecks and do them 2 days apart (that’s if your clinic won’t do them for you).
Fingers crossed that everything is fine xx
Sorry lovely I don’t know enough to comment but just to let you know I have everything crossed for you xxx
Im not sure if you have heard something called "the hook effect". Its when the hCG levels get so high that it starts confusing the tests and the test cannot give an accurate result as the others have said. Don't do anymore tests lovely, these are designed for early results and you'll just stress yourself out. If you can do blood results this will give way more reassurance.xxx
Thanks Cinderella I think I’m unnecessarily stressing myself out!! Hope you’re keeping well xx
I completely understand, its really difficult when you have had a chemical or loss in the past. I did a test around the same time as you whilst waiting for my scan and it super stressed me out, even although I knew about the hook effect. Didn't dare tell my hubby either as I knew he would kick my backside ha ha ha. Sit tight and good luck with your scan. I am doing well so far thank you.xx
Hello, MiniS5I hope it worked out for you. Thoughts.
Like you, I had a fully natural cycle, a couple of months back.
Got BFP 7DPT (I decided to test early too.)
Clearblue showed '1-2 weeks pregnant' (7 days after transfer)
A week later, Clearblue showed '2-3 weeks pregnant'
A week later, Clearblue was still '2-3 weeks pregnant'
At that point, I started to worry.
At my 6 week scan (4 weeks after transfer), the gestational sac was empty and they told me that I would miscarry. Sure enough, I started bleeding a few days later. Miscarried naturally.
Now trying another natural cycle.
Hi MiniS5, I know this post is old, but the same thing just happened to me, so wondering how you made out? Hoping everything went well
