Hi all, many of your journeys seem to be continuing through the current situation which is great but unfortunately I am not experiencing the same. I absolutely understand that the hospital's attention is focused elsewhere at the minute but it doesn't make it any easier to accept, our journey started around 18 months ago now and I feel we're no further along with no end in sight, I was just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same issues? And those of you who are having continued treatment are you private or NHS!? Thanks!

Hi LillyZL. Unfortunately this is all too common. You must keep in touch with your clinic and tell them that you're willing to accept a cancellation, if you already haven't done so. I'm sure some of the ladies here will support you, so try and keep busy - easy for me to say, but I shall be thinking of you. Diane
Hi Lilly. We’re just starting round 2, private treatment and the clinic are operating as normal. Our last round was NHS funded (with the same clinic) which resulted in a BFN at the end of November. The clinic stayed open and operating right through lockdown except for the usual Christmas closure, both for NHS and private patients. Not what you want to hear I know. I hope your journey can continue soon x
It's not, but I do appreciate your reply thank you, and I wish you all the best with your next round. I hadn't been on here in a while and just figured most of us would be in the same boat so was surprised to then see all the posts of continued treatment. Do you mind me asking where abouts you are?
Hi LillyZL. Im currently in my TWW through nhs treatment at Manchester hospital and they have been working like normal since end july. Had my egg retrieval done in oct and now doing my first FET. Im unsure as to why urs is at a halt atm cz i was under the impression Every clinic resumed treatment. Sorry to hear ur going through this as even a week waiting period seems alot to us as time is always against us
Thank you, yes like you say any amount of time feels like a lifetime and unfortunately I've had no contact from the hospital for updates either (even when I've called they seem disinterested) fingers crossed things will start moving again soon. Best of luck to you in your first round x
Hi, our NHS treatment was postponed from July until September because of COVID and now we’re in the middle of the second cycle which is privately funded. I think ours has managed to keep going as although the clinic does NHS work, it’s a separate, privately owned clinic so the staff aren’t so easily redeployed or affected by staffing shortages in larger obs/gynae teams than is probably the case in fertility clinics within NHS hospitals. It’s a really unfair situation for you and others as what you have access to will vary across the country.
