Hi Guys.

After some advice this is my 3 rd cycle with my clinic we are uding access fertility this time so are on the 2 cycle package.

Yesterday i had my transfer. Got the call from embryologist to say out of 4 we had 1 egg full blasto 1 early. Nothing freezeable so best option to put both these back. Discussed with hubby agreed this. Procedure went ok. I then asked to have my progesterone checked as after my second failed round i requested immunology testing and tested postitive for lupus anticogaulation so am on inhixa... Note i asked for this it wasnt suggested after 2 miscarriages 2 failed implantations.

Because it hadn't been requested by Dr. Yes i could have the progesterone test but it was 41 quid. Said no prbs as in the scheme of thing whats 41 pounds lol.

As i was going up to have this ws asked to come back down after to the clinic as embyology wanted to see me. Thougt ok will do.

Had bloods jokingly said to women wonder whats that about bet theyve put wrong embryo back or something.

When i went back in clinic waa taken to a room and consultant and lead embryologist came in to tell me the early blasto had not been put back. But the full blasto and 1 that had stopped developing on day 3 had.

I was on my own due to COVID and kind of felt really detached from the whole convo. They kept repeating the best one was in. And they would leave the other one in culture overnight see if it could be frozen..

If it cant ive lost it obvs.

Telling my husband he was furious. Called the clinic and the lab manager called us back said it would he investigated.

So my query is due i have ground for a formal complaint here. I feel like if they say it cant be frozen today. Then it wouldnt of worked anyway...

Ive felt just numb overnight and dont know how to feel.

Sorry its lengthy.

Praying for the good one to stick.

Gosh that’s dreadful. So sorry. I’ve not started the journey yet but that is I suppose medical negligence? Where was this? Forgive me this is first post so not sure if I’m doing this right.

Yes I’d be furious, I’d sue if I were you but that’s me. I don’t think they have an excuse for it or any room for human error in such highly important and sensitive procedures. It is vital they get things right. But there you go. Give them some stick and make sure they don’t do it again. And most importantly all the best of luck for the rest of treatment 😊x

Hi Conceivingblee. So sorry to hear of this. There is always room for complaint, even if human error. Each stage of any procedure should be double checked. If this cycle fails, and I truly hope it works, then they may offer you a reduction for another round. Thinking of you. Diane
