So I have been testing daily and while I am over the moon I just can't help but be scared to death too! I have seen so many people end in CP that it just puts so much fear in me. My OTD isn't until Friday and it can't come soon enough! Work is such a welcome distraction even though I am a nurse and am on my feet all day which scares me too. My mind is just everywhere. Also I am so confused by dating.... every ivf calculation would put me at 3 weeks and 5 days and I just dont understand that at all....if she was a 5 day blastyocyte and only been in for 7 days how would it show this? Stressed to the max but all the words of wisdom from all you incredible women has helped so much.

For the pregnancy calculation in IVF, you add 2 weeks to the egg collection date as EC is when the egg was fertilised and approximates ovulation/fertilisation in a natural cycle. Pregnancy dating (at least in the UK) is the date of your last period, which for the average person is 14 days before ovulation. In an IVF cycle, you don't have a natural last period date so they just add 2 weeks to the EC date.

7 days post 5d blasto is 1 week + 5 days since egg collection. So the calculator gives you 3 weeks + 5 days.

What I am not sure about is the Clear Blue weeks indicator, as you would not be able to be 1-2 weeks pregnant based on conventional pregnancy dating. So I assume the CB is really weeks from fertilisation rather than weeks pregnant (which biologically are the same thing but not how pregnancy is calculated 🤪).

Hi lovely, congratulations! I can imagine it's so exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Your line progression looks good though. In terms of weeks pregnant - they date it from the 1st day of your cycle (last period) so even though you technically haven't been pregnant for that whole time, that is how they calculate it. Weird huh! xx

Great info from Purpledoggy and the calculations....at 9dp5dt you would be classed as 4wks pregnant. Its always so nerve racking when you've had a chemical before but your lines are looking great so far. Are you having bloods done? 2 bloods 48 hours apart should show your bloods are increasing at the correct rate and perhaps give you a little more reassurance.xx

I have my blood work scheduled for Friday so at 9dp5dt... hopefully they double and everything is good news and then I can breathe little!
