What do you think of my embryo's quality? I don't talk to my clinic much (language barrier) but they finally got back to me about the quality of my embryos. We have 2, the boy is 6AC and the girl is 6AB. Has anyone had success with an AB? I think the AC probably won't take. The 6 means already hatched, not sure if that's good either.

Embryo quality
My 8 week old baby girl was a CB grade so no reason why the AC won't take. I've had top quality embryos that didn't work or ended in MC so my hopes for our CB working were low but here we are! Good luck 😊🤞🏻 xx
Well that's good news. Congrats!I guess the second letter means ability to attach, and C is poor. So I'm thinking it won't attached but maybe.
The first letter is the quality of the inner cell mass (the bit that turns in to the baby) and the second letter is the part surrounding it. So in my case the inner cell mass was slightly flattened rather than round which is why is scored lower. So I'd say if anything yours are a better way round, you've got A quality for the part that makes the baby (inner cell mass)
That said I think the grading is used purely to aid their decision as to which to transfer if there is more than 1. They wouldn't transfer any embryo that wasn't capable of developing in to a baby, so I'd focus on that rather than letters. Good luck 🤞🏻❤️ xx
Hi st1984, thank you for your explanation, it means a lot! And congratulations, you’re so blessed to have your baby girl❣️ May I just ask you what is your opinion in general...I had emryo transfer 3 days ago...they just told me that one embrio is good quality and the other is little bit segmented...So I keep thinking what did they mean🙄 I don’t have any other information - grades or something like that. Just hoping there is possibility that at least one survives🙏😊 Thanks once again!!
By segmented they probably mean you can still see the individual cells, instead of it being one big circle. Which means it's behind in development compared to the other. That's my guess.
I wonder if that means the same as when they say its fragmented? So rather than all the cells being the same size some are bigger than others? If it is that then I think it can correct itself as they develop and they are still capable of making a baby. I think sometimes it's better to not know the grades as you'll obsess over it like I did. If they say good quality I'd go with that. Good luck ❤️🤞🏻 xx
I’m not sure on your grades as all clinics seem to grade differently. I was just told I had two As and 5c’s but the embryologist told me on one call she thought one of the c’s was worth using over my A!?!? Who knows. I’ve had 3 out of my original 7 fail so far but will keep going.
Although I’m waffling what I was going to say is I have heard so so so many stories of people having failures with their best embryos then going on to have success with much lower grades. So I know it’s hard but try not to think too much about the letters. Good luck x
