I am on my first round of IVF and I am due to see my clinic tomorrow, so will of course mention it to them. I am just hoping to share experiences with others etc.
I had my baseline scan at the start of the week (Tues) and it was on my CD5 (no prior stims before scan) and I was told that I had 40 follicles on the right ovary, 12 on the left (I have PCOS). I am on a short protocol, injecting 125ui of Ovaleap in each evening. I have done four days worth, day 5 of stims being this evening. I have noticed today (maybe because I have had a lazy day) that my right ovary is a bit twitchy. I wouldn't even consider it sore, just twitchy, and I am now overthinking the OHSS potential. Has anyone else ever felt ovary activity this early on, and is this normal?
Thanks in advance for any insight!

Yes that is absolutely normal and is a very good sign that you are responding to medication 🥳 good luck you are heading in the right direction. Don't worry about OHSS, your clinic knows when to stop. I never had stimulation more than 8-10 days I and don't have PCOS. All the best ❤️🤗
That’s really good to hear, thank you for the reassurance! I’m hopeful that I’ll be okay all of this week and ready for egg collection at the beginning of the week after (18th) with some time then to settle during that week 🤞🏼 I’m glad it all seems as though everything is as it should be!
Egg collection has a funny bit that I always enjoy! I am very funny after anesthesia 😂😀 I usually talk lots of nonsense so prepare your partner 😁 I am keeping everything crossed for you 🤞❤️🤗
I’m not too worried about the anaesthetic, it’s the cannula insertion that scares me 😂😂. I’m just looking forward to the whole process, I’ve been so excited by it all! 🥰. I just hope that it works, as does everyone else, but I figure enjoying it for what it is can only be helpful! Thank you!! 🤞🏼❤️
I did by day 5 as well. I didn’t notice it at first then I was dancing to pass the time and it hurt like hell to even try to move my hips! Sounds like you’re responding to stimulation. Sending you lots of luck and baby dust!
Update - had scan this am. Lots of follicles! Will be hopefully booked in for egg collection on Monday! All has been well and this whole experience is flying by! 🥰
Thanks for all of the advice ladies! I appreciate it. We are now looking at a freeze all due to the volume of follicles seen today!
