advised to start provera day 19 of cycle (before stims on next cycle)

Hi everyone,

I've just had a call with the new clinic we're going to try this time (driving all the way into London was super stressful and we want to find an easier path to keep the stresses down!) - and they advised that while i'll 'start' treatment next cycle, it begins with putting me on progesterone (Provera) on Day 19 of the next cycle, and then stims from the cycle after that for a short protocol.

I'd never heard of this before- has anyone else had this experience? The nurse said that they advocate this because it stops the body from selecting a dominant egg prior to Day 1 of a cycle -

Help appreciated! Also, it's hard cause I was getting myself all geared up to start stims this month but now it seems like I'm waiting another month!!
