I am starting to think about prep and supplements to take for my first ever FET and have no idea. I’ve only ever prepped for 2 IVF cycles and 2 fresh transfers so it’s a bit different.
I guess there is no need for things like Ubiquinol as that’s for more egg quality etc? Any suggestions? I’m taking a prenatal, folic acid, vit D and vit C. But want to prepare as best I can.
Any help and advise appreciated.
Thanks
Xx

I’m about to start my first medicated FET as well (think my period will come any day now and I start oestrogen tablets on CD1).
I’ve been wondering this as well..
Currently I am having red raspberry leaf tea once a day (hear it’s good for your endometrium lining) as well as three Brazil nuts. I also have acupuncture and will be having reflexology in the NY (I had this weekly for a few months before my first fresh cycle).
Diet wise, I eat lots of leafy greens and this time I’ll be having lots of warming foods like soups and casseroles etc (recommended by my acupuncturist).
Thanks for the tips re raspberry leaf tea and Brazil nuts, I had heard these for ivf cycle as well so I’ll get these again for FET.
I’ve just had my period so am waiting for the treatment schedule form the clinic but it will be a natural modified cycle so I’ve purchase a pack of ovulation tests already.
I tried acupuncture but I think they said I’d need to do it for months beforehand and I wasn’t organised enough to do that!
Hi Paula, I did my first FET before Christmas and aside from the prenatal multivitamin, the only thing I added to my diet was Brazil nuts (altho I think selenium may have actually been in the vitamins too!) Also considered taking mini aspirin but you doctors may advise on this.
I also carried on gentle exercise (for blood flow) and took precautions to avoid getting covid prior to the appointment, as the clinic tested for this a few days before. So basically self-isolating as much as poss.
Thanks, yeah I’d read that too but my consultant warned not to carry on after transfer due to possible birth defects so I’ve been reluctant to start it yet as we’re trying naturally between treatment xx
Thanks for the pointers. I might purchase some Vit E as well then, although for the 2 fresh transfers I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with lining being at around 9-10mm both times. I suppose this is difference with a natural modified frozen transfer though.
I had an endo scratch last cycle to prep so we’ll see if that helps also.
I asked about aspirin and my consultant wasn’t keen as said there was some prove it can cause bleeding so I didn’t push it any further.
How did your FET before Christmas go? Hope it was a success
