Hi there quick question about how long it has taken people’s cycle to return to normal after Icsi treatment?

I had an unsuccessful cycle of Icsi last month and then had a withdrawal bleed in the same month. I’m now 5 days late fir my cycle this month and wondered if it takes a while to get back into a regular rythm

Thanks for any advice you can give x

I'm in a similar boat and 6 days late. I called my clinic today and they said it could take up to 8 weeks for my cycle to return! Very unnerving.

Hi thanks very much for your reply and I too was going to ring my clinic next week if there’s still no action. 8 weeks is a long time as I’m supposed to be starting my next cycle in January but at least now I know what to expect and can try not to worry too much about it.Thanks again, good luck with your journey and have a great Christmas xx

Yeah i wish my clinic told me this might happen! I thought my period would show up on the 18th as I'm usually clockwork. My mind was going mad so i just did a pregnancy test this morning. Negative. Our FET is supposed to be end of Jan. Hoping this means it might be able to happen sooner once my cycle does start again. Waiting is so hard.

Good luck with everything and hopefully you can swith off a bit over the next few days (hoping that for myself 🤣)

Ps. Maybe call your clinic. Everyone is different. I had the Prostap injection at the beginning of treatment which I'm just learning takes good a while to leave your system x

Hey, I’m in the same boat. I’m CD33 so only a few days late but no sign of period coming - but I was expecting this as I had a scan a few weeks ago after my failed cycle and my consultant told me I was about a week behind in my cycle - so expecting my period a week later! I’m also due to start FET with my next cycle so hoping it isn’t too much later! Xx

Hi, I did an off cycle and until I stopped progesterone. It 12 days for period to come. I am having a break over Christmas and periods have come back regular after the initial late one. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply and just hoping it’s not too late as don’t want to have to wait too long again before I start my next cycle in January, all being well🤞🏻. Have a good Christmas and here’s to lots of baby luck for us next year xx
