Well this is probably quite a silly question. I had my embryo transfer last week. One embryo didn’t survive the thaw but luckily we had more so we transferred two.
This is my third FET (first was a BFN, second was a MMC) but this is my first time transferring two embryos.
The last two times I felt positive and hopeful but this time I’m convinced it hasn’t worked. I just don’t feel hopeful at all, which I feel really sad about. And of course I’m wondering if anyone thought feeling negative could actually effect the outcome?
Has anyone been sure it hasn’t worked only to be pleasantly surprised?
Thanks in advance and best wishes to all you amazing warriors at this really challenging time of year xxx

Hey peanut! Me me and me!!! 😃😃😃on OTD I was like....why am I even bothering with the test....I did it at 4am and didn’t even woke hubby up because I was sure it was negative....I had even already booked a follow up with my consultant.... 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻Sending you all the luck in the world! Ps: being negative most definitely DOES NOT affect the outcome!!!!! I’m the queen of negativity in this 2020 😂😂💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Hey Peanut. I feel you. Unfortunately I don’t have a positive story for you as I’ve felt negative about my last 3 transfers and they’ve all failed. But I totally agree with ToughCookie as feeling negative will have ZERO affect on the outcome. Just try and take 1 day at a time. Wishing you lots of luck xxx
Thanks so much for this Millbanks, I really appreciate your reply. Really hope this is your time this month, and maybe doing a fresh transfer makes the difference this time🤞🏻xx
Sadly not for us 😔 we knew it was a long shot. Next transfer with our new ERA timings so reeeeeally hoping that’s our one!! so much love and strength to you xxx
So sorry you’re feeling so down about it but I promise it will not affect anything! I had a full scale, movie level meltdown 4dp as I was convinced it hadn’t worked but look how wrong I was 😘
Really hoping it’s positive news for you this time. Got everything crossed for you xxxxxx
Haha, that sounds like me yesterday! Thanks so much for your message Kibo, really appreciate it. Have a lovely Christmas, must be so nice this year with bubba! Xx
Yes same here 🙋🏻♀️i was so convinced i didnt even bother to buy a pregnancy test. I didnt want to test on my OTD, but my husband kept badgering me to do it, so i gave in late morning. We found a 2 year old one in the cupboard and just could not believe the result, so we ran out in the car in our pyjamas to the nearest shop to buy 3 different tests to be sure.
We were given very low odds of success and we are still in shock 5 months later. I had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever in my TWW so was convinced it was a dead end.
Trust me your not the only one who felt like that. Like you I had a miscarriage in my first transfer. For my second transfer I did two embryos and I kept crying even before I did the test feeling like it hadn’t worked but it did. I even had a negative test when I tested two days earlier then my nurse told me. When I checked two days it was positive. And now I am 25 weeks x
Thanks so much for your reply, it’s really comforting to know I’m not the only one! I’m soooo pleased you got your positive! Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx
Same here hun . Last Wednesday was my OTD... so I wake up 6am then 1h after my baby girl to get her ready for preschool and my hubby got up too.
Is not my first cycle...is a 7th plus in last year we lost 5 embryos so I was sure didn’t work ...
So I pee in plastic pot got out 3 different pregnancy test give instruction to hubby ...2min after he run to us screaming yeeeeeesssssss....I was shaking and the only thing I could say was no no no no ....
I didn’t had any symptoms just sense of smell but I thought this is due to progesterone... I’m still in shock I still cannot believe.
One thing I did I wasn’t looking for any symptoms I didn’t google, I didn’t compare cycles..
Hi peanut! Just wanted to send a big hug. It can be so hard to feel optimistic but I don’t think that will impact the result. I was super optimistic for both my cycles and they ended in BFN!
Have everything crossed that this is the one for you 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Xxx
Thanks so much PenguinBlue. Yes, that’s true actually. I was absolutely convinced my first cycle had worked. Tested early to surprise my partner before he went to work. Of course it was negative and I didn’t want to upset him in the morning so I had to put smile on my face and wait until he got home to tell him. I’ve got everything crossed for your FET lovely! 🤞🏻😊 xxx
Me 🙋🏻♀️ Was completely convinced after a chemical pregnancy the previous round that the next one hadn’t worked! I bled a too so tested early so I could prove to my other half it hadn’t worked and move on.... and there it was a strong second line! Not a symptom to speak of at that stage and currently 22 weeks! Wishing you loads and loads of luck and I don’t think anything we think, do or even feel really makes a difference, what will be will be as they say 🤗💖 xxx
Thanks so much Twiglet! Haha, that must have been the most amazing surprise ever! Glad it’s all working out for you, hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly xx
I was convinced it hadn’t worked too - I transferred 2 embryos too - I had zero symptoms in the 2ww - literally nothing. Had no sleep due to staying up all night on google looking for success stories based on no symptoms. In 31 weeks with twins now! 🤣
Hehe, love that! Thanks lovely. Annoyingly I noticed the smallest amount of spotting (which I think may have been implantation bleeding) with my second cycle (mc) so of course I’m now looking out for that again and nothing. I hope that doesn’t mean it hasn’t worked! Hope those little ones are doing well, not long to go! How are you feeling? Xx
